Then the battery-operated car can follow the track, climbing the slope to the bridge and then speeding down the other side before passing through the iconic Jurassic Park-style tall doors and passing dinosaurs (comes with 2) and trees (comes with 4) along the way.

Once it has gone around, it’s easy to twist the track into a different configuration and do it again. The track is made to twist, turn, and flex without falling apart. Kids might need help attaching the track to the bridge, but the track doesn’t need to be taken apart to be changed unless it is being shortened, so that part is easy for kids. This puzzle set takes dinosaur play to the next level. A 3D puzzle is way more exciting than a 2D puzzle, especially if it’s a dinosaur. It contains all you need to make 6 different 3D dinosaurs that stand up on legs. The pieces are pre-cut, but they have to be carefully popped out as they are a little delicate. So I recommend doing this part yourself and then letting your child assemble the model.

The manufacturer recommends it for ages 6+, but I personally think it’s better for 8+ because it’s little tedious when your attention span isn’t very developed yet. A 6-year-old will likely need an adult’s help for most of the time. Many people choose to secure it with gorilla glue and use it as a decoration. Others like to put it together and take it apart over and over again. Incredible price for a 6-piece set!

This is one of the most complete kids’ dinosaur reference books ever. It is loaded with information on almost every known dinosaur, even the lesser-known ones like Kentrosaurus and Hualianceratops. Most dinosaur fact pages have a graphic showing how big the dinosaur was compared to a human so young readers get a better idea of the actual size of these prehistoric creatures.

The pronunciation guide was especially helpful for my family–some of these dinosaurs have really tricky names! My children also enjoyed finding dinosaurs that were discovered nearby in North America. This edition includes information only recently discovered so your budding paleontologist can stay current. The book is well-organized with a full table of contents, glossary, index, and recommended sources of additional information. This will keep your eager dinosaur-lover busy learning for hours and hours!
